Opening 2019

About Us

No other city compares to New Orleans–we’re known the world over for our legendary food, beverage, and hospitality. At 300 years, there’s never been a better time to honor our culinary legacy and invest in our collective future. There’s never been a better time for NOCHI.

Bringing great minds and industry leaders together for the advancement of the city and the empowerment of a new generation of inspired chefs and culinary visionaries, NOCHI provides students real-world instruction and training by a collective of industry best. With the opening of NOCHI, New Orleans moves forward with tangible opportunities and potential for every sector of the food business and economy–an endeavor of hope and hard work, a place where culinary and hospitality careers are developed and defined, where business minds are shaped and nourished, and where innovation inspires ingenuity.

It’s not your pedigree, it’s your potential. New Orleans has a rich culinary history that deserves to be shared in generous, heaping portions with anyone who hungers for professional development. From chefs to cooks, bakers to bartenders, and a host of hospitality opportunities, NOCHI creates a world-class space and affords students from all walks of life the chance to sit elbow to elbow with industry giants and culinary visionaries. In 2018, NOCHI will offer certificate programs in Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts; programs developed in partnership with CIA Consulting to provide rigorous, hands-on training in programs designed to give almost 650 hours of instruction within twenty weeks.

They say cooks cook to nurture others, and in that spirit, NOCHI exists to nurture robust and creative careers within culinary and hospitality sectors and to create relevant opportunities for students of all walks of life.

Some cook as a profession – some as a passion. And, it is this singular and steadfast passion for all things food and beverage that drives NOCHI seminars, classes and culinary programs for locals, tourists, foodies, and cooking enthusiasts around the world.

From adventurous foodies to non-career cooks and anyone else who longs to develop their technique, NOCHI is swinging the kitchen door wide open. NOCHI has created an immersive environment for expert instruction designed to elevate your passion to perfection.

For those who go all in with the head, the heart and both hands, let NOCHI be your path to a robust and rewarding food adventure. And for the more academic types, NOCHI will also offer a broad array of lectures and seminars that will build on our region’s rich culinary heritage while always keeping an eye towards the future across all the disciplines that intersect with food and hospitality.

It’s our hope and intention that this uniquely diverse array of programming will make NOCHI a truly enriching experience for anyone who lives to eat and drink like we do.

To date, NOCHI is committed to a conservative business plan vetted by committed, experienced partners and continues to secure partnerships with important organizations such as NAFEM (North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers) and the New Orleans Exhibition Hall Authority.

New Orleans is now. It’s not a slogan, it’s an action. NOCHI is your chance to stand with our board, our community, and our investors to make history together. A singular defining moment for New Orleans–NOCHI is that rare opportunity to honor the past while embracing the future and all towards elevating our standing as a truly world-class culinary and hospitality city for the next 300 years.
