NOCHI Scholarship Fund
NOCHI Scholarship Fund is funded by the generosity of private donors, community partners, and donations from the student’s pop-up restaurants. Scholarships through this fund provide need-based scholarships that provide partial tuition to incoming Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts students. Applications for consideration are due April 25th and November 1st.
Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund
The Aarón Sánchez Scholarship provides young aspiring chefs with resources to attend culinary arts school, allowing them to pursue their dreams of becoming a leader in the culinary industry. Originally launched in 2016 by celebrity chef Aarón Sánchez, the scholarship provides full tuition, mentorship, and hands-on training to build successful careers in the culinary arts. The Aarón Sánchez Scholarship is the flagship initiative of the Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund, a program of Emeril Lagasse Foundation. Emeril Lagasse Foundation Scholarship
The Emeril Lagasse Foundation creates opportunities to inspire, mentor and enable youth to reach their full potential. The Foundation provides a limited number of full scholarships to incoming Culinary Arts students. Recipients of this scholarship must be need-based students ages 18-24 at the time of application and have participated in one of the Emeril Lagasse Foundation's beneficiary programs (including Louisiana ProStart, Café Reconcile, Café Hope, and YEP).
Healthy Blue Scholarship Fund
The Healthy Blue Scholarship Fund provides funding to close the tuition gap for students enrolled in NOCHI's certificate programs. Recipients must be matriculated native Louisianians who commit to working as a culinary professional in Louisiana for a minimum of two years post-graduation and must maintain active student status throughout the program. Students will be considered for both Fall and Spring cohort.
moross family Scholarship Fund
The Moross Family Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to NOCHI student who demonstrate financial need to attend either the Spring or Fall Cohorts.
Oscar J. Tolmas Scholarship Fund
The Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust provides need-based financial assistance to deserving students enrolled in NOCHI's Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts certificate programs. Awarded to students in both the Spring and Fall cohorts, these scholarships help reduce financial barriers so aspiring culinary and hospitality professionals can pursue their education and career goals. Established through the legacy of New Orleans attorney, Navy veteran, and philanthropist Oscar J. Tolmas, the Trust continues his commitment to supporting charitable organizations and creating opportunities for future generations.
tabasco Scholarship
The McIlhenny Company, maker of TABASCO Brand Pepper Sauce, supports aspiring chefs enrolled in NOCHI’s Culinary Arts Certificate Program by assisting students from the New Orleans area with demonstrated financial need and prior culinary experience. Through the generosity of the McIlhenny Company, the scholarship provides partial tuition awards to Culinary Arts students to ensure that financial barriers do not stand in the way of talented individuals pursuing and completing professional culinary training.
